Millwood Bowling Club is situated in the west of the seaside town of Barry in The Vale of Glamorgan on the south coast of Wales.

Millwood bowling club has excellent facilities for both members and guests with our own large carpark, bar and function room and modern kitchen, along with our well looked after green and ample changing facilities.

Millwood Bowling Club was founded in 1990. The club at this moment has about 60 bowling members in the Men’s’ Section and around 30 in the Ladies Section.  We always welcome new members, of any ability, to join our club.

The Men are members of the South Vale Bowls League and the Cardiff and District Municipal Bowls League, playing mainly on a Wednesday evening and Saturday afternoon. We are fortunate to field two playing sides each Saturday.

The Ladies section play in several local leagues, both in the weekday afternoons (Tuesday and Thursday) and evenings. We play against other clubs as far west as Porthcawl, east as far as Rumney in Cardiff and north as far as Merthyr Tydfil.

There are also various games against visiting organisations, touring clubs and county competitions. In the summer months from April to late September, which is the bowling season, and throughout the winter months there are plenty of social events.

Millwood Bowling club is a very friendly place to play bowls and to socialise. The club has a lovely lounge and outside seating areas to sit and watch the bowling with full bar facilities.

We had the pleasure in 2016 to be the venue of the Deaf Bowls Association’s International, featuring all the home nations. The first venue in Wales to host this event.
